A new blog journey

I decided to start a blog to journey this new adventure of hearing loss with our daughter, E. It's also my sounding board and well...free therapy. I thought it would also be an efficient way to keep people informed, if they wanted to be.

I've decided for now to keep this a public blog, so I will not be using our names and ask that you respect that as well.

E is on the verge of her 5th birthday. In pre-k and loving it...well, we all are to be honest. E is full of life and loves Jesus. She is compassionate, kind, intelligent and crafty (in more than one way!). Last year we found out she had both conductive (temporary) and sensorineuro (permanent) hearing loss, though the sensorineuro was only in the right ear.

After her ear tube surgery, the conductive cleared up, leaving the permanaet loss to deal with. Due to the frequency (3K and 4K Hz) and it being only in the right ear, we started the school year using a sound wave FM Device at school.

That was until last week's follow up appointment...
